33 Baptisms During Recent Outreach

Revival Fellowship Report:

From the Desk of Ps Bob Beverley - liaison pastor for Vanuatu.

A group of 45 Australians including some small children went to Santo in Vanuatu to outreach for twelve days from May 15 to 27.

The fellowship at Santo there has grown to about 100 under the leadership of Pastor Willie Rouvoune and they have their own hall in the village of Mango Station close to the town of Luganville.

Brethren from our fellowships in Bulbul Malekula, Port Vila and Tanna came as well for a wonderful time of fellowship and revival.

Thirty three people were baptised during the time and Ps Willie has told me there were a further three baptisms the following Sunday.

The pastors and leaders from all the Revival Fellowships in Vanuatu met together with myself and Ps Bill Allen and Ps Geoff Boyle during the second week to discuss various matters of doctrine and church practice as well as practical and financial planning for the future.

The Lord is opening up an opportunity for us to start a fellowship on the island of Pentecost where one of the chiefs has been baptised and spirit filled and wants us to come so that we can together build his community on the gospel.  He came to our pastors meeting and we have decided that one of the leaders in Santo, Michael Roy, will be going in August for a few months and we will see what the Lord brings forth.

All being well that means we will have a presence in the four main islands of Vanuatu - Praise the Lord.  I see this as a foundation only and there is still great potential for future revival.
